First The Root, Then The Vine stems from the music heard from my childhood and growing up in the hood. Music has played a major part in my life. My Mother, God rest her sole worked cleaning a Country Radio Station(WARL)when I was a kid. Anything other than Country Music they would drop into a cardboard box for the Trash Man. I wanted these songs so my mother would bring them home.
I would sit in the floor with my little record player and play them over and over. This went on for several years. All of this remarkable music has filled my heart and touched my soul for many, many years.
Now the time has come for me to share what I've heard. I'll always bring it to you the right way.
