Johnny Neal & The Bluesprint come out of the California desert with a thick mix of honky-tonk piano, twang guitar and Neal's gritty Hammond organ on "do I Have the Blues (self release). Hot guests like harp ace rocky Zharp groove behind Neal's low-tenor vocals; he moves between soul crooning and jump-and-shout roadhouse with ease, and he's expressive and emotionally connected.
