Paul and the Blue Delivery "Just In Time" Buzz-8028 CD
Paul and his boys contacted Lars Strandheim at Tail Records as soon as they decided to cut a CD. That turned out to be the right decision, especially for a band who claims the Chicago blues to be their main source of inspiration. Regarding the engineering with this CD, Lars has delivered a masterpiece.
Already in the first tune there´s a dirty blues harmonica that will blow your new-washed hair dry, and soon Paul starts singing with his perfectly suited raw bluesy voice. You can hear every single instrument perfectly clear: harmonica, guitar, bass, drums and in some songs a piano. The sound of the CD is very rich and warm. If these recordings had been available on vinyl, this had probably been one of the best sounding blues albums ever. Today they are the only band that can be compared with Bo Weavil.
If you´re into Blues and don´t buy this rocking blues CD, you can´t blame anybody but yourself.
