RJ began his career in the Minneapolis as a teenager in the late 70's over the following decade
he formed the popular midwest band Blues Deluxe and worked with Mojo Buford,Sonny Rogers,
Percy Strother and Teddy Morgan.
R.J. now lives in Oakland California and tours throughout the USA & Europe.
R.J. has recorded several CD's & appears on CD's with Candye Kane, Kim Wilson, James Harman,
Annie Raines, Mark Hummel and Gary Primich.
In recent years RJ has performed on several major blues festivals including The San Francisco Blues Fest
The Mississippi Blues Fest in Greenville, MS. The Lucerne Blues Fest in Switzerland and many more!
R.J.'s music is steeped in the Chicago Blues of the 1950's. Whereas all of R.J.' previous CD's
are more straight ahead shuffle & slow blues recordings.
