Ponciana is the only tune not written by Kenyatta. Here he soars high into the sky as an eagle riding the wind dipping and and diving. It's quietly funky. I believe he used an Tenor-sax on this one and it works wonderfully. Creation of the feeling of floating while the rhythm section keeps the feet rooted.You feel yourself strething up to reach the stars.
The guitar of Alan"Lucky Burroughs is the syrup of an ice cream sundae.He sweetens the pot and makes you want more.
It's a light hearted rendition but not light. Power emanates from all. Just enough drums to make your heart thump harder. The keyboards are a light rain falling on a summe's day. All make this work. Finally Blue, this is a CD you'll want to play for yourself and others over and over again. (ICRY}
