The exhibit will be at the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center in Wenatchee, Washington through December, 2006. Thereafter it will travel to Tacoma and Spokane, Washington; Pendleton, Oregon; and Nelson and Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The exhibit includes historic photography of the Columbia River before the era of the dams, Lynette Westendorfâ€™s soundtrack as accompanying music and poetry, lifesize paintings on silk of the riverâ€™s indigenous fish species, maps and narrative information. A companion book by guest curator William D. Layman has been published by the University of Washington Press and the University of British Columbia Press.
