Reino Wantin began composing on the clarinet as a teenage band member. He went on to study piano and music theory at Huntington College (Ind.) before graduating in another field. His lifelong friend, Lee Noble, a classical composer, has been an invaluable help in his writing.
His music, which is mostly instrumental, is influenced by the Romantic-Classical style as heard in movie soundtracks. People have described his music as somewhat simple yet lyrical and catchy (infectious). One follower compares him to Yanni which may not be accurate, although it is flattering.
Recently Reino has teamed up with Michael Quatro, a renowned pianist and former rock star, who has sold over 8 million records between 1970 and 1984. The results have been gratifying as demonstrated by their two recent album releases, "Romantic-Classical-New Age", and "Song of the Sea".
