Accordionist,composer & arranger,Nick Ariondo, a recipient of many awards and honors, became the first American to be awarded Italy's Ancona Prize for his 'Kalamatiano for Viola and Free-Bass Accordion' (Acco-Music Publishing). Nick has currently received nineteen ASCAP awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers for his original compositions and arrangements, integrating the accordion into diverse styles and idioms from classical to world-ethnic, jazz-improv to modern contemporary. The Artistry of Nick Ariondo has been presented on radio, cable television and on KCET's Classic Arts Showcase.
