Mosher studied at Manhattanville College and the University of Southern California for degrees in music history and piano. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law School, and is a member of the California Bar
A researcher/Reader at the Henry E. Huntington Library, San Marino, Mosher is the author of the book People and Their Contexts: A Chronology of the Sixteenth Century World. She has presented early music lectures and lecture-recitals, and written articles on Renaissance music for various journals.
Long interested in contemporary music, Mosher is President of Piano Spheres Concerts (founded by Leonard Stein), a recital series presenting notable piano compositions of the 20th and 21st centuries.
CELLIST XIN-HUA MA graduated from the Shanghai Conservatory, China, and has Masters degrees from Yale University Music School and the University of Southern California. She has given solo recitals in the United States, Canada, Italy, and China and has been guest soloist with orchestras in the United States, Europe and Asia, among them the San Diego Symphony, Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of New England, Tanglewood Music Festival Orchestra, Hong Kong Pan Asian Symphony, and the Slovenia National Radio Orchestra.
As a founding member of the Shanghai String Quartet, Ma received Second Prize in the London International String Quartet Competition, judged by Yehudi Menuhin, and First Prize in the Chinese String Quartet Competition before coming to the United States to live. She is the only person to receive the prestigious Hammer Rostropovich Award twice, and has served as principal cellist for the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and Associate Principal Cellist of the San Diego Chamber Orchestra.
Ma has been featured on NBC TV, where she was hailed as â€œa cellist with an unlimited future,â€ and has also appeared on BBC, China Central, Shanghai and Slovenia National television. Among her teachers are Aldo Parisot and Eleonore Schoenfeld. Presently, Ma serves as principal cello in the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Beijing, China.
ANTHONY BRAZIER performs on both modern and Baroque flute. He has concertized throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe, Tahiti and Taiwan as both recital and orchestral soloist, as well as with chamber ensembles. He has performed with renowned early music specialists, including harpsichordists Trevor Pinnock, Wm Neil Roberts and Susanne Shapiro, singers Judith Nelson, Maurita Phillips-Thornburgh, and Voltaire Verzosa, and flautist Betty Bang Mather. As orchestra player, he has worked under many noted conductors, including Walter Decloux, Richard Lert, and Horst Neumann.
A native of Los Angeles, Brazier is one of the founding members of the Los Angeles Baroque Players, one of the first early music ensembles that perform on historical instruments in the Los Angeles area. Brazier is recognized as a teacher of both baroque and modern flute, and with his business partner, Wm Neil Roberts, is a builder of harpsichords and other early keyboard instruments at the Harpsichord Center
