Holland's 3 movement title work describes a sandstone bridge, a familiar landmark in Sydney. Of major interest is the remastered 1975 live recording of Allworth's fine "Spirit Flutes" for an ensemble directed by the late David Ahern. Never a dull moment in this CD's 17 tracks, not even in Holland's "The Composer Falling Asleep"(1994), a short and witty portrayal of Allworth dozing off "during the course of an overly long and tedious concert"!
