MUSICAL BACKGROUND:
*****Dan Pinto has been involved in music since 1974 and over the years has become proficient as a multi- instrumentalist with a passion for writing at the piano. He originally started out studying drums and percussion at age 11 and soon after began developing skills as a multi-keyboardist. He has had much experience on stage performing with bands as both a drummer/percussionist and a multi-keyboard player. In many instances he has performed live on all instruments for a single act. Dan has performed live as a solo pianist and also on electronic synthesizers using programmed MIDI sequencers for backup. *****With the unusual combination of drums, percussion and keyboard experience firmly in place, Dan began writing original compositions in 1977. Three years later he started gaining experience in multisound recording and invested in creating what was then to become known as Pinto Studios. From that point on throughout the years, Dan has written, recorded and produced music for a variety of professional artist, company and television productions, some of which include A,T & T; RCA; CNN and several local Cable stations. He became a member of BMI in 1991 and shortly afterwards began writing music for national television shows such as "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" & "Runaway with the Rich & Famous". In 1993 Dan recorded and released 3 audio CD's, each containing a specific style of musical composition. This was a culmination of the work he had done up to that point. *****In 1995 Dan began what would be the most challenging project of his career to date. After years of experience in writing music on it's own, it was time to link that to something visual. "I had always wanted to write a soundtrack for a motion picture but never had an opportunity. So rather than wait, I decided to create my own opportunity" Pinto Studios was outfitted with video recording and editing equipment and the project was under way. "Die For A Life" would become Dan's first full length motion picture movie score. The 1 hour and 3 minute long soundtrack was finally completed in April of 1999. In the process leading up to the completion of this soundtrack, Dan gained 4 solid years of hands on experience in writing, producing, directing and editing a feature film as a bonus. This is experience that proves to be very valuable to any professional film producer who works with him. A terrific mix of both Jazz Fusion and New Age Classical as well as great ballad melodies with the focus on piano and light orchestration. It's music that really stirs the imagination. What's down the road for Dan Pinto: *****Since the "Visions" CD release and over the last few years, Dan has taken time away from recording to invest in his passion of many assorted hobbies. But the fire has returned to mid 2005 as the studio has once again been put into high gear with work on a new CD due for release sometime during mid to late 2006. Four tunes have been completed with 2 more in the works. There may even be a guest appearence.
