My music is an integral part of my life. I write music because I have things to say that I can't say any other way.
I write songs in a folk/alt/pop style. I also write instrumental/electronic compositions
My songs are largely influenced by The Beatles, the Who, Radiohead and the Cure, the Doors and the Grateful Dead.
Some of my Classical influences include Bohuslav Martinu, Igor Stravinsky, Antonin Dvorak, Dimitri Shostokovich, and Philip Glass.
My earliest compositions were in somewhat of the Beatles style. Later, the Doors were my strongest influence.
In college, I was also influenced by and had studied early music, particularly from the Gothic and Middle Ages. I find that music very emotionally stirring and spiritually enriching.
