About the Artist...

With a piano style somewhere between Classical, Contemporary and New Age, Fabio Mancini brings melody and heart back to instrumental music.

He comes from a background of polished piano and organ music (academic degrees for both the instruments), but grew up a typical 1980's teenager strongly under the influences of such progressive rock artists as ELP, Yes and Genesis.

At the age of 18 he began his career as a classical musician, winning music competitions and performing concerts. From the age of 20, when he listened to Keith Emerson and Genesis, he developed a strong interest in progressive rock and electronic keyboards, in particular moog and hammond.

Fabio alternate classical music with progressive rock music, playing piano and organ as soloist and with classical orchestras, or performing gigs playing keyboards in the progressive band "The Watch".

In 2003 Fabio released his first CD as classical musician, 'Organ Music Vol. 1', with baroque organ music by J.S. Bach, D. Buxtehude, J.G. Walther and N. Bruhns. He was the first musician that realized a CD with the incoming Hauptwerk technology.

Today, Fabio alternate his musical career as performer and composer teaching Music Editory in the University of Milan and collaborating with the Music Web Site Vivaldistudio.com.
