Fred Baue was born in St. Louis, 1946, traveled everywhere, and is now back in his home town. In the Sixties he performed in coffeehouses and at folk festivals and was associated with such artists as the Beers Family, Bruce Cockburn, and Eric Nagler. Noel Paul Stookey (of Peter, Paul, & Mary) kindly gave an endorsement to Fred's CD, "Too Deep for Words." In the Seventies Fred went back to school and took a Bach. of Music in classical guitar at Florida State University. He subsequently went into the ministry and served congregations of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, 1981-1999, during which time he earned a Ph.D. in English literature at the Univ. of Arizona. In 1999, Fred Baue became and editor at Concordia Publishing House, St. Louis, in which city he is active in the local music scene. His CD of solo guitar music, "Too Deep for Words," is the result of many years of instrumental meditation, sorrow, laughter, and life experience.
