Nigel Bradford.
Born in India of French father and British mother he went to England as a child. Nigel had his first guitar at the age of 13 and is self-taught. He went through a variety of jobs but music was his only passion.
After traveling around Europe, Nigel finally made home in Paris in the best of mid seventies. At that time he was earning his living bucking in the Paris underground. Here he was noticed by several record and film producers. From this he cut the record "Resonance". He also wrote music for various films, one of which included a song of Nigel which won an award at the Cannes film festival in 1983. He has played in various countries and with numerous famous Artists. Nigel has his own unique style of playing and his compositions cover a wide range of music.
Due to a family tragedy Nigel had to stop public performances, nevertheless he continued to compose and play whenever possible.
The history of Nigel and Lea goes back to when Nigel moved to Mene the Cotes d'Armor region of Brittany France.
Here he became familar with the Keltic legends and sites that abound in the region. It also awoke the memories of his own celtic roots, from his farthers side. This inspired Nigel into composing music and songs related to the region and the Keltic legends. Many of the people around Nigel insisted that he play his music to the public It was during this time that he met Eddy Larnder, the son of Bill Larnder, who was a well known arranger in London and conducted his own Orchestra and dance band in the 1950 & 60s. Eddy showed a great interest in Nigels compositions and Guitar playing.
Nigel soon was convinced that here was the man capable of helping him with the mixing of his recordings. So he then started auditioning
for a female vocalist. It was at this time that Nigel met the French singer Lea who had a natural feeling and understanding for his music.
So all the ingredients were there and Nigel and Lea started working on recording the Album Watering the roots. They started work on public performances. Also the creation of Nigels Indie company Roots Music(France).Nigel and Lea are performing in the true Folk
tradition as a simple duo. They have been acclaimed by the public at every venue and by local press,Radio and Television. The new Cd head in the clouds is in keeping with this style
although it includes numbers that are more country blues as well as folk. Nigel is now completing the Album "Guitar Body and Soul Vol1".
