Omeca Andrew Flohr has a unique style of combining Soundtrack, Classical Contemporary, New Age and Popular genres all into one masterpiece. The music on Blink of an Eye comes to life with the warm, lush, evoking sounds of a string orchestra, the rich, majestic and soothing sounds of the French horn and the percussion section which is the pulse of the music which gives it life and zest. Three of the ten songs on this Album have been based off of Shakespeare Sonnets. With the modified sonnets performed by Meredith Andrews, Omeca Andrew Flohr has brought a new medium of Shakespearean art to the market. Combined together, they produce the poignancy, comedy and calming ambience of Omeca Andrew Flohr's music.

Over a period of two years, these scores, with the exception of Life is Sweet (Natalie Merchant Indian Bride Music), have been inspired by my dreams and aspirations, my family, especially my little nephew, my friends and everything that I have come to encounter with every single day of my life.

An Evening Dream out of all 9 of my original scores took the longest to write for some reason. I just woke up one night and I had this tune in my head. I got up went to my studio, turned the computer on and sat at the piano and started to write. When it was all said and done, it took almost a year to complete this orchestral score, which was my very first orchestral score. I usually just stuck to writing piano music, but I decided to branch out and I did and everything has been GREAT! As I was writing this song, I could envision it someday being played for the opening scene in a movie or the background music. I wasn't quite sure what moved me to write this song, but there was a reason, I just didn't know about it.

Eye of Heaven is based on Shakespeare's Sonnet #18. Shall I compare thee (you) to a summer's day... I originally started to write music to sonnets when I was the composer and music producer for my high school's Shakespeare troupe. Every year they would need thematic music to fit their play and I would always be commissioned. Every year as a "thing" that I would do is I would write a song to go with a sonnet and have it performed. From there I wrote several other pieces and modified the sonnets for vocals. Stolen Virtue and Saucy Bark are based upon sonnets 79 and 80 respectively. Listen to these and take in the musical interpretation of what Shakespeare was saying. Take it to heart.

For Jansen is the most special song on this album. Before my nephew was born I wrote a song for his mother for him in a piano score. I presented it to her for her baby shower and she loved it. Since his birth, he is my little buddy and he loves music and I love him to death. This past mother's day I arranged his song into an orchestral score which is the one on this CD. It was publicly debuted at a huge concert at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts with all the other songs on this album.

The Sweater Song is a song on the light side of things. I call it the stalker song. It is about a girl whose boyfriend broke up with her because she is an obsessive, annoying human being, but she loves his sweater and she wants it, so she calls him, follows him and harasses him. Enjoy this hilarious popular style ballade of a girl and this sweater!

Never Forget and My Final Chance are improvisational scores that I wrote. I was inspired to write these when I was in several different moods. My Final Chance is a very poignant, heartfelt song. It describes how I feel about my music and what it truly means to me. Never Forget utilizes the viola, piano and drums to depict life, love and happiness is some weird manner. Don't ask me how I came to those conclusions but that's what I was sort of going for. I was probably in a really down mood, or angry when I wrote this.

Cannon in Me is a neat arrangement of Pachelbel's that I constructed in my spare time (I wish I had some of that...lol) I hope you enjoy it!

On Sunday May 8, 2005 these songs were all played at a debut concert at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. The featured vocalist was Meredith Mitten Andrews whose voice I adore. The music was performed by The Carlisle High School String Ensemble.
