Tony Vines is a guitar builder from Kingsport, Tn. Evening Sky is his first solo project of original compositions and arrangements.

Tony has been building guitars for 15 years and playing guitar as a hobby for nearly 20 years. Although starting out his musical endeavors as a drummer, playing in local rock bands then later on doing session work, Tony's first love was always the acoustic guitar.

Ironicly enough, Evening Sky displays no use of drums or percussion, and in no way sounds like rock and roll. The music is very soothing and relaxing! Stephen Rekas of Mel Bay productions says; "Nice ambient music!" Richard Glick of Fine

Guitar Consultants
says; "The music just draws you in!"

Evening Sky will leave you with nice, simple, melodies that incorporates the use of the acoustic guitar, soft background vocals, some cello and e-bow. With a few solo guitar peices, sounding like Alex DeGrassi and Will Acerman at times, this CD is mostly influenced by the Windham Hill artist of the late 80's and early 90's.

As a note of intrest, Tony's favorite cuts on the CD are "Moonlite," "Rose," and "Jardin de Bettea." ENJOY!!
