Mr. Grigassy has traveled extensively in Central and South America and has absorbed various Latin American styles of guitar playing, including Huapango, Bolero, Pasillo, Bambuco, Joropo, Vals, Argentine Tango, Bossa Nova, and Samba. Mr. Grigassy currently leads a Latin American ensemble, called Latin Carnaval, and an early jazz group called the Hot Club of Houston. His debut solo guitar CD Iberian Influences was released in 2001:
"Spanish and Latin American music for the guitar delivered with impressive technique, tempered by an inviting, polished eagerness... [This recording] presents Edward Grigassy as a player of broad stylistic range and encourages us to eagerly await his next effort."
