Franklin Foster(aka, Franklin Delano Foster)studied violin with outstanding performer/teachers at the San Francisco Conservatory; the Julliard School; and at the University of Southern California. He has also studied with some fine independent performer/teachers.
Mr. Foster has been heard on the west and east coasts of the United States and has performed as soloist with the San Francisco Symphony and other respected orchestras. He has been concertmaster for ensembles lead by Seiji Ozawa and Michael Tilson Thomas. The CD features works for solo violin composed by Johann Sebastian Bach and Nicolo Paganini. These works are considered to be among the most musically rewarding and most technically difficult in the violin repertoire. Included on the CD are works for violin duet composed by Georg Philipp Telemann and Carlos Seixas. Violinist, Mari Bahadurian, assists Mr. Foster in the performance of the duets.
