Soprano Jyoungso Park was born in Seoul, Korea. She received a B.A. Degree in Voice Performing Arts from Florida International University and an Opera Theater Performance Degree from the New World Conservatory School. She earned her Master of Arts Degree at Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Jyoungso's musical background is very impressive. She has staged in numerous operas under the baton of many leading conductors such as Maestro Willie Waters. She has also studied and been coached by Maestro Steve Crawford, of the Metropolitan Opera in New York, as well as by Maestro Cliff Jackson, Chesne Ryman, and Sara Hopkins, Jenna Young and among others. She has also performed for such great opera singers as Franco Corelli, and Jerome Hines and has held recitals throughout the United States, Central America, South America, and South Korea.
Critics have acclaimed Jyoungso's voice as being "a beautiful warm voice that touches the heart," "an angelic sound," "one great voice that is powerful, but still velvet," "a high voice that sounds like a bell." She has a dazzling rich and beautiful low, middle and high voice with a wide voice arrangement. Her exquisite voice interprets many different types of songs into an extraordinary form.
Jyoungso is an opera singer, music professor, recitalist, private voice teacher, choir director, conductor, and choreographer. Jyoungso has held the leading role in such great performances as "Die Zauberflöte" (The Queen of the Night) by Mozart, "Suor Angelica" (Suor angelica) by Puccini, "Madama Butterfly" (Cio-Cio San) by Puccini, "La Traviata" (Violetta) by Verdi, "Le Nozze di Figaro" (Countess) by Mozart, and many others. She focuses on operas, concerts, oratorios, recitals, chamber music and art songs as well as Broadway and pop music.
