Though Sutton's compositions have been called dark and brooding, his inspiration is drawn largely from the Romance Era. The pieces featured on his CD "Echoes of Forever" were selected from more than twenty solo piano pieces he has composed over the past four years.

"My intent, in these works, is to recapture the very essence of the Romantic Period and all it encompasses. It is to not only revisit the works of the Great Masters in a nostalgic manner, but to pay tribute to the birth of an era through original composition."

As a companion to his CD, Sutton has also written "Echoes of Forever: The Soliloquy", a stage production which explores romance through music, as well as dramatic recitations of prose and poetry. Sutton made his debut performance in October, 2000 at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

"This collection is dedicated to those of you who hold steadfast, as do I, to the belief that romance and passion are what life is truly about...that without these things we are but drones in an otherwise bleak and dismal existence."
