Marc Friedlander, Classical Guitar Volumes I, II, and III (Point Studios)
A master of the nylon string guitar, Friedlander makes the most of his deft fretboard skills on his albums Classical Guitar, of which he's recorded three volumes so far, On the 18 track Classical Guitar Volume I, he covers Bach's Prelude and Bourree from Lute Suite #4 along with covers of Scarlatti, Dowland, Sor and Guiliani, On Classical Guitar Volume II, Friedlander serves up the six part Suite for Cello #3 by Bach and nine other classical masterpieces by S.L. Weiss, Albeniz, Lauro and more, while on Classical Guitar Volume III, subtitled Metaphor, Friedlander covers the six part Suite #1 for Cello by Bach and ten other covers of historic guitar music from Tarrega, Ponce and Sor. On his trio of CDs, Friedlander admirably carries on the timeless spirit of the classical guitar.
