"Ragnarsdatter" is the second of my novels to be recorded as a CD Audiobook ("New House" was the first). It's for listeners who have an interest in the decades that took America from the Depression to World War II and who have a taste for hearing ordinary lives unfold. The scenes are at home and at school. Gloria Ragnarsdatter wants to get out into the world, and high school gets her there. It's love she explores most deeply, with friends good and bad. The CD recording begins with performances of Jerome Kern tunes and ends with "Dona Nobis Pacem," a traditional round that Gloria learns to sing.
