I am a young boy from South Louisiana interested in the preservation of my culture and I have been given the ability musically to learn to play the French accordion. I just released my 1st CD a year ago and am looking into recording and releasing another in the near future with my sister singing on it as well. I have just put together a band that includes my dad and my sister has just joined us for a few songs. The name of the band is Briggs Brown and the Bayou Cajuns and we can be heard and seen from time to time @ a local restaurant, D.I.'s.. You may check out our band schedule @ discajunrestaurant.biz to see when I will be playing. I will be in the 8th grade this year and enjoy playing basketball and baseball for my school. I am also a drummer in the High School Band. I help my uncle plant sweet potatoes and enjoy being around the farm. I may be seen playing my accordion in the movie coming out this fall, "All the Kings Men", starring Sean Penn. What a great experience this was!!!! I was recently chosen as the New Dawn Award winner by the Cajun French Music Association for the best upcoming artist.
