Judy uses quality backing tracks to create a full band sound for a fraction of the cost to sing today's hottest country music, the classic hits of the 50's & 60's and favorite pop standards like "Wind Beneath My Wings".
This songbird from Pennsylvania has lived in the Palm Springs, CA area for the past 20 years and has performed at private functions and charity events across country since 1979. She learned to play acoustic finger-style guitar to sing the beautiful ballads of John Denver and credits Anne Murray for being a role model and "virtual" vocal coach. Her current mentors include Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kathy Mattea and Trisha Yearwood.
"I like to sing songs that are upbeat and happy - 'feel good' songs that have positive messages and are well written. I prepare for each function by asking the hostess to provide me with a list of her favorite tunes, as well as the favorites of her important guests. People love to hear their "special song" whether they are at home or at a business or social function. I try to combine a mixture of ballads and upbeat dance music moving the guests from moments of nostalgia to "boot, scoot and boogie" if the spirit grabs them. Music is the common thread that provides a connection for all of us. It has a way of bringing people,-sometimes complete strangers, closer together. I love adding that element to the event."
