Kasey was born in Kansas City, but raised in a small town in East Texas. As a child, every summer she made her pilgrimage to the mid-west to join her family and sit in with her uncles, grandparents, and long-time friends of the family as music was made in to the wee hours of the morning. She has never known life without music. Likewise, her music takes on a great life.
