"L'Angélus is the epitome of organic family music. "L'Angélus" translates to me as "angelic voices" with the instrumental energy of a freight train that knows no boundaries. Apart from the fact that these kids are so in sync with one another (and umbilically with their mother) the magic of their music more than touches your heart......it pierces your heart then sweeps you away.
The joy of music is L'Angèlus 'raison d'ètre'." ---Michael Doucet dit BeauSoleil Cajun-Grass Roots.... L'Angelus got much of their early inspiration from living in the South. "I remember going to the cajun dance hall in Lafayette and sitting close to the stage while I watched bands play. Four years later, I was on that same stage while my little cousins were watching me," says Steve about his experience. Before cutting their musical molars on blades of bluegrass in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the band was steeping in the gumbo of Southwestern Louisiana culture. Cajun heritage is in their blood & seeps into the music along with the sounds of classic rock, bluegrass, & Texas swing. This eclectic fusion of styles is what fuels their show today. L'Angelus has performed up & down the East coast from New York to Florida- at venues such as famed Bluebird Cafe' in Nashville, TN to stadium concert events at fairs & festivals...sharing the stage with Neal McCoy, the Platters, Clarence Clemons of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and Gary Allan. Their original recordings have been featured on public radio stations nation-wide. Check out the artist's website: http://www.cajunrecords.com Track List: 1. Ça C'est Bon 2.
