I wanted this album to have a sound like you were hearing it on Grandma's front porch. You know, an acoustic feel--bluegrass even. I think I got that effect with the help of some awesome musicians, like Mike Shrimpf(Conway Twitty's band) and Hoot Hester (from the Timejumpers).
When I was a little girl, my summer visits to my Grandma's house in Southern Illinois meant warm summer Sunday morning walks to church down an old gravel road. I have always treasured the sounds of those old hymns in that little country church, and "Goin' Home" just about "bottles" that sound for everyone to enjoy.
Whether I'm singing Gospel, country, or disco, I draw from my days in that little church, where the joy of music met the joy of the Love of God in my heart. It is my hope that wherever I am and whatever I'm singing is sending a message of love to all who hear.
I believe that it really doesn't matter what path each of us take, we're all going to meet at the same place! I'm Goin' home and I'll see you there!

This album features "Hoot" Hester on fiddle and mandolin.

"Goin' Home" will take you home to that place in your heart that joyfully gives praise to the Creator.

It will make you smile.

It will make you cry.

You'll love it!
