Mindy's songwriting is strong in lyric and melody and varied in style. Known for her satyrical approach toward dysfunctional relationships as in "Hit The Road" she also shares a more sentitive and introspective part of her personality in her songs like "I Didn't Mean It, Don't Get It" that reflect social concern.
"A Fine Life In The Country" was recorded live in concert with a full band on stage. Then later mixed down with overdubs that include Vassar Clements on Fiddle, (The Freedom Ride), John McEwen on Banjo,(Ain't Florida Neat) as well as some excellent local muscical talent, Dave Lapio on Steeldrum (Coconut Tree), Jim Bickerstaff on Mandolin (The Freedom Ride) and Count M'Butu adding percussion to several arrangements.
As one fan puts it..."As a performer this self proclaimed "blond" has grown stronger and more confident with every appearance we've seen. Her well crafted songs are complimented by her sweet voice and her fine comedic timing. She can set many moods easily."
