A well known bass player in Louisiana, Russ played his first professional job at the age of 14 in 1966. He has performed or recorded with artists such as Louis Anderson (Nashville songwriter) & Becky Hobbs, the Levee band with Jeff Pollard (LeRoux), Tony Haselden (LeRoux and Nashville songwriter) , Bobby Kimball (Toto) and Donny Wynn (Robert Palmer & Brooks & Dunn), John Fred, Percy Sledge, Frankie Ford, Van Broussard, the Baton Rouge Jazz Ensemble, Kirk Holder, Todd Westbrook, Vin Bruce, Of Moving Colors productions, and the Bayou Goula Freedom Fighters.
