Simon Budd has been playing guitar since he was 16. He is a self-taught musician highly skilled at acoustic guitar, electric and bass. He also plays the penny whistle. He's opened for the likes of, Steve Pineo and Tim Williams, two of Calgary's finest musicians and songwriters. Simon is mostly influenced by acoustic music, but he loves any style of music that's played from the heart.
He entered the singer songwriter field in 1998. His songs were well received at the various venues he performed at. His first CD, Mother's Nature, is composed mostly of original work with one exception, 'She Moves Through the Fair' a traditional Irish folk tune he arranged instrumentally to compliment his piece, 'Madeline's fancy.'
