The Farewells
The band formerly known as Linnane released their album "The Shady Tree" in 2002, an emotional and rootsy effort that wowed critics and enjoyed local and international radio airplay.
As new recordings began to take shape it became clear that Linnane was heading in a more pop oriented direction, widening the scope of their sound and experimenting with a more commercial feel. They decided to move forward with this sound as The Farewells.
Peter Linnane is an accomplished producer, musician, and recording engineer, appearing on many albums including The Willard Grant Conspiracy, Peter Bruntnell, Don Lennon, and The Sheila Divine among others.
Samantha Linnane, former member of The Oscillators (60's style retro garage band) , has been playing music in New England since 1998.
Peter and Samantha play together in the greater Boston area as an acoustic pop duo.
