DAVE JAMES has hit the country music scene like a bolt of lightning! A refreshing, entertaining spark has been brought into country music. With his high energy show, Dave has made fans of all ages, from hard core country music lovers to rock-n-rollers, to oldies and classical music fans.
Coming from a musical family, his mother plays bass and sings, and his father is an accomplished and respected guitarist. Dave began playing guitar at age seven, and by ten he was playing in gospel bands and was already doing radio shows. At twelve, he joined his parents band. Growing up Dave played several styles of music, country, rock, top forty, blues and funk. At twenty-two, he toured the country in a rock band for five years, then moving to Los Angeles to record with former members of Blackfoot and Pat Travers. All this time Dave was writing and listening to his first love country music.
Returning home to Ohio, Dave put together a band of highly talented musicians, "THE TWANG FACTOR". Armed with original songs tapping into his different influences, he recorded his first CD "NEVER LOOKING BACK" and received quite a bit of airplay and started to develop a large following. Next came Dave's second CD "JUST GETTIN STARTED" receiving more airplay and producing some local number one songs and an even bigger following. Dave's third CD "NICK OF TIME" has ten more original songs. Songs like the country rockin' "NICK OF TIME", the line dancing "CRAZY 'BOUT YOU", the goose bump raising "I'D GIVE ANYTHING", and the cross over "THANK YOU "(FOR SAYING GOOD-BYE), which went to number one on a Sandusky Ohio radio station WCPZ beating out Mariah Carey, Madonna, Bryan Adams, ect., and is also getting airplay at several country stations across the country. Next Dave released his forth CD, "LIVE & OUT OF CONTROL", an exciting live album containing songs from his previous three CD's plus five fresh new original songs!! The song " LAST TIME I SAW HER" has made the top requested play list many times!
Now Dave has released a brand new CD "Big Al's Barnburner"! These songs are being called Dave's best songwriting to date. The title song "Big Al" is a kickin' line dance number, "It's About Love" is receiving airplay even before the cd's release, "My Reason Why" is a wonderful ballad, "Hot Off The Grill" is a smokin' instrumental featuring Dave & the boys pickin, "I Might Not Be From Texas" is a cool Texas swing tune something a little bit different for the guys. This is definitely Dave's best cd yet, and with his new songs, he is receiving very serious attention from Nashville and closing in on becoming a national recording artist and performer!!!!!
