As a performer, Dale played clubs all over the northeast United States with his band "Dale Allen & the Pearl Studs" opening for many major acts including Delbert McClinton, Vassar Clements, Marshall Chapman & Steve Wariner.
Dale doesn't currently perform except for some "Writers Nights" although he did compile a CD of his songs, released in January, 2000. Dale sang "He's My Sister Now" on the NBC daytime serial "Another World" which appeared in 28 countries around the world. "Nowhere To Go But Crazy" has been recorded on albums by Michael Vallee (For All That It's Worth) and Jack Doolittle (Nowhere To Go But Crazy). "Plug My Heart Into The Jukebox" appeared on Beverly Ellis's Delta Disc debut: "A Diamond Won't Cut It". Another song of Dale's -- "The Other Side of Love" appears on the multi-platinum Irish album, "The Smile On Your Face" by Frances Black and "Hey Marie" was recorded by Jimmy C. Newman on his "Louisiana Love" album. "Plug My Heart Into The Jukebox" and "I'm Looking Forward To Not Looking Back" were recorded by JW Houston on her English album "Sidewinder".
