Nearly a lifelong resident of southern Indiana, Jacob Pfister was heavily influenced by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams Sr. As for I'll Think of You, this entire CD is dedicated to his wife Irene, who passed away in June of 2000. Shortly thereafter Jacob became grief-stricken and emotionally devastated at losing his life partner. Only after finding himself completely bereft and at such an emotional crossroads was he able to throw himself wholeheartedly into writing by giving thanks for what he had been given in life, both the good and the bad. The results are spectacular and as a close friend, Dave Hunter, put it, "I have known Jacob for a long time and it is hard to distinguish the man from the music. The words and music in his songs flow like a lazy creek running through a meadow, and you can feel the passion in his words. In my opinion his songs are on the same level with Hank Williams Sr." But listen and judge for yourself because Jacob is the real deal!
The artists on I'll Think of You are:
Jacob Pfister - Vocals, guitar
Jeff Guernsey - Guitars, fiddle, mandolin, upright bass, resonator guitar, 5-string banjo
Robert Deal - Drums and back-up vocals
