Linda Denton has led the life of a country song. Born in Dallas, Texas to a musically talented family, Linda learned early in life to love all types of music. Her uncle, guitarist/songwriter, Lonnie D. Wilkinson, performed with Little Jimmy Dickens, and Willie Nelson; and performed with and served in the Army with Elvis Presley while they were both stationed in Germany. Her Mother, Grandmother and aunt were a gospel trio that traveled to churches in Texas, singing where there were invited. With mostly original songs on this 12 song CD, you will be able to hear the many facets of her talent. From the Title cut "Baby's Got The Rain" with its driven rock style, to "Honky Tonk Brawl" and its playful, foot tapping dance style. There are songs to cry with as well, like "The Joke's On Me" which will touch your soul. This is an album that you will definitely want to hear over and over again.

Linda began singing as early as age four, and while in school was a regular participant in choir and talent shows. By the time she was a young adult, Linda's voice had matured into a clear, rich, resonant mix of country, soul and blues. When she recorded a demo as an anniversary gift for her husband, the owner of the studio liked it so much; he took it to the local radio station, KFIN in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Linda states that one of her most exciting moments was to wake up one morning to one of her songs being played on the radio. Her songs became a regular request by the radio station listeners and were played daily for several months.

Life can be a hard road and that has been the case with Linda. Her marriage ended, and after years of struggle to raise her children, she lost a daughter in a tragic accident. In spite of, or maybe because of her experiences, Linda sends a message of hope to people through her music and her songs. "I want to let people know, through music, that they are strong enough to make it through anything. If they just keep trying, believe in themselves and have faith in God, anyone can accomplish their dreams. I am living proof that this can happen."

No matter how many times' life has knocked Linda down, she keeps getting back up. Her legions of fans say Linda is an inspiration to them and that her music is the music of hope, love and just plain grit. She is a real person who shares her heart and soul through a gifted and honest delivery of lyrics and melody, that are truly addicting.

Linda Denton is a fun loving, beautiful, sexy, energetic, witty and talented survivor who brings a message to her music. "This world is full of walls, but if you work long enough and hard enough, you will find a way over, under or around those walls. But", she cautions, "you also have to know that eventually life will present another wall."

Everyone experiences their share of walls in life and those who have heard Linda Denton's music know one thing...walls are much easier to climb as long as her beautiful voice is there to brighten the way.
