Wallace Pryor and Dan Bayne have played music together for 25 years. They have tried out various styles over the years, but this recording represents what they grew up on--American String Band or Old Time Music. Wallace plays mandolin, fiddle, lead guitar, bass, a little bit of 5 string banjo, and provides background vocals. Dan provides rhythm guitar and lead vocals on five songs. As the title suggests, most of the tunes are traditional while eight are originals written by Wallace Pryor. The feel is primarily laid back, melody oriented, plain and simple.
