Russell Walters got his nickname Big Country while playing basketball with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. His music received national attention during the 1996 Final Four games in New York City.
Since then Russell has teamed up with his brother Reed and they have put together an album true to traditional country music. The Walters Brothers music combines the music styles of Waylon Jennings, Merel Haggard and even some Johnny Cash with Russell and Reed's own spin. Their music is true country vintage for today. The songs on this CD ring true to real life experiences. "Pretty Little Waitress on Bourbon Street" documents Reed's first experience in New Orleans on a Saturday night down Bourbon Street. "For a country boy it was something to see and what I saw deserved a song." The result of Reed's first walk down Bourbon street is a rockin little country tune that will get your feet to tappin and fingers a snappin. Listen to our samples of the songs on this CD and you will have to have a copy for yourself. Check out the artist's website: http://www.walterscountry.com Track List: 1. Welcome to My World 2.
