Songwriter Stephen Desjardins was born and raised in
Rhode Island.Growing up his mother would take him to
local amusement parks to watch the country shows.
Listening to bands like Eddie Zack's Hayloft Jamboree
is where his love of country music was formed.
Listening to country songs on the radio as a teenager
was another great inspiration for his love of country
music.The Everly Brothers,Patsy Cline,Roy Orbison,
Brenda Lee,Jim Reeves,Johnny Tillotson,were all being
played in the top 40 because of the crossover appeal.
Floyd Cramers piano instrumental "The Last Date"
had such an impact when he first heard the song he
decided it was the piano he wanted to learn to play.
Stephen is a member of Nashville Songwriters Association
International and also a member of ASCAP.
His songs have won national wards in song writing.
His song "I Am Because Of You" was voted the #1 song
for April,2005 at VH-1 Song Of the Year Contest.
"I'm Not Laughing Anymore" was voted a top 5 song
at Songwriter Universe in April 2006.
Several of the songs on this album have made it into
the finals of national and international competitions.
