Thom Shepherd is a singer, songwriter, and entertainer born in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in Stephens City, Virginia, and after receiving his Bachelor's Degree from George Mason University gave up a budding career in the film and television industry to take his best shot at the Nashville music scene.

He is the writer of Craig Morgan's hit single, "Redneck Yacht Club." He's also had songs recorded by Buddy Jewell, Kevin Fowler, George Canyon, Joe Nichols, Blake Shelton, Neal McCoy, and Cledus T. Judd.

But the song he's proudest of is "Riding with Private Malone." The song, recorded by David Ball, went to #1 in Gavin, #2 in Billboard and R&R, and was #1 on the Texas Music Chart for two months straight. Thom even got to be in the video, playing the title role. The song is also one of CMT's "Forty Greatest Road Songs."

But that's only part of the reason he came to Nashville. He is an incredible performer and award-winning vocalist as well. He has toured Alaska three times for Armed Forces Entertainment, performed at US military bases, NATO installations, and US embassies in 7 different countries in Europe, and recently returned from a tour of Greenland.

He has opened for the Charlie Daniels Band, Pam Tillis, Ty Herndon, Sammy Kershaw, Neal McCoy, Ricky Van Shelton, Mark Collie, John Michael Montgomery, Exile, and Mel McDaniel. He has also performed on stage with Vern Gosdin, Keith Urban, Dean Dillon, Ricochet, David Ball, and Jim Ed Brown.
