Ms. Carmen Dragon is a dynamic and internationally-known musician with a multifaceted history in the music industry. She brings to the stage a powerful combination of talents, a natural affinity for performing, and a wealth of experience. Ms. Dragon is from a well-known musical family. She began playing piano when she was four years old, and attended U.S.C before beginning her current career in music. Known for her exquisite artistry on the harp, she has performed with the Glendale Symphony Orchestra under the direction of her famous father (also named Carmen Dragon). She was first harpist for the symphony and performed for 15 years. Known for her versatility, Carmen also plays in chamber music groups. Her extensive career has continued with much orchestral playing throughout California and the US, including the Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, El Conejo, Fresno and Anchorage symphonies. She recently performed with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra under the direction of John Mauceri. In addition, she has soloed with the Ventura, Santa Maria, Redlands and Topanga symphonies, and most recently with the Cypress Orchestra and Pacific Symphony in Orange Country. She has conducted her father's orchestral arrangements in West Covina and Palos Verdes. Her recording career includes work with top-notch talent such as Nelson Riddle, Barry Manilow and the Disney Studios. Ms. Dragon has worked in Las Vegas with pop artists Wayne Newton, Tony Orlando, Anthony Newly, Neil Sedaka and Melissa Manchester. She also made appearances on her brother Daryl Dragon's award-winning television show, "The Captain and Tennille."
