He began piano lessons with Ms. Idle Idlebird who was truly his inspiration. It was under her instruction that Clarence learned how to read music, develop the skills of ear training, and the knowledge of classical & jazz music.
In the year of 1994, at the age of 16, Clarence graduated from high school and later that year, enrolled as a freshman at Prairie View A&M University, and majored in Music Education Performance. During his years at Prairie View, Clarence was an active and dedicated member of the Marching Storm Band, where he served as French Horn section leader from 1995-1997, Assistant Student Band Director in 1996, University Band Arranger, Music Production Director for musical plays, and a member of Phi Mu Alpha Professional Musician Fraternity. In the year of 1998, he became one of the University Drum Majors for the Marching Band.
Upon graduating in 1999 from Prairie View with a Bachelor of Music All Level Teacher Degree in Music Education.
In the Community, Clarence was a loyal member of the Dr. Larry T-Byrd Gordon Orchestra Show Band-The Music People Luv, where he was the Assistant Band Leader, Band Arranger, and Keyboardist, and Songwriter for various artists. With the Band, Clarence has opened for the Temptations Show in Plano, Texas. Played at various country clubs such as Dallas, Odessa, Oklahoma City, corporate banquets, elegant weddings, auctions and fund-raisers just to name a few. Clarence is married to Mrs. Kemistri LaShon Texada and resides in Dallas, Texas. His first major project is Curiosity a contemporary jazz CD that features two other members in the Band; Mrs. Shawn Belton and Mr. Adolphus Hall Jr. He dedicates this project to his Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Ethel Texada Sr, Mr. and Mrs. John & Mynola Crawford, and a special dedication goes to a young man who recently passed away Raymond Farley.
