Dan's distinctive and unique style has caught the attention and admiration of many listeners.

Born in 1948 in the small Southern California community of Azusa, he was naturally drawn to the piano at the early age of 4. "There was always music in our house. My mother had a tremendous love for the piano."

"At the age of 11, I joined my first band. It was an eight-piece group with a horn section. They were quite good. All the guys were at least eighteen. I was allowed to join only because my older brother was also in the band and could take care of me. As a kid, I hated going to band practice, but I loved earning my $10 per job.

While serving in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1973 during the Vietnam era, Dan formed a five-piece band that would perform for his crewmates, as well as performing for crews from other ships. It was a real moral booster during those long periods away from home.

After touring the U.S. for 10 years as a musical arranger and pianist in show bands, Dan settled in San Diego where he joined forces with 3 top notch musicians. This group was well received and quickly built a strong following. It is also where he met his best friend & soul mate, his wonderful wife Janice. They were married in San Diego in 1986 & shortly thereafter relocated to Lake Tahoe.

He performed concerts with the Jordanaires, the original back-up vocalists for Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline and Rick Nelson.

In his extensive career are a number of long-term musical engagements at some of Lake Tahoe's finest, award-winning restaurants. He was also asked to perform in Australia to school children, many of whom had never heard a piano played before.

Dan's music has been used for special events, documentaries, as well as video and television productions.

 Honored as the composer for Concourse D'Elegance, an award-winning cinematography project filmed at Lake Tahoe.
 Awarded Billboard Magazine's Certificate of Achievement for an original composition entitled "Reach for the Stars." This beautiful song was composed as a theme for a play premiering in Lake Tahoe.
 Received Special Mention as "New Age Artist" in Billboard Magazine.
 Featured in numerous articles in industry publications
 Composed main theme songs for two television pilots.
 Received Honor Award from The Great American Song Contest for: Theme for Janice.

At the present time, Dan is mainly focusing on scoring for film & television. However, he still looks forward to performing whenever the opportunity arises. Dan's preferences in music are mainstream jazz, rhythm & blues, new age, and just about anything with a Latin feel.

Some of his musical influences are such greats as: Oscar Peterson, David Benoit, Carlos Santana, Jerry Goldsmith, Henry Mancini, Vince Guaraldi, and George Winston, just to name a few. "Each of these greats has their own unique style that I find immensely inspiring."
