Dave Deason, composer and pianist, holds the Doctorate degree from Ohio State University and has spent much of his life teaching music theory, counterpoint, and Jazz Studies at various colleges and universities, Still a relative newcomer to Oregon, Dave, his wife Mary, and their Scottish Terriers have explored many regions of Oregon with the fascination that continues to entrall many others.

Performed by Oregon pianist Rhonda Ringering and assisted by Dave on the final three tracks which are for 4 hands, Oregon Impressions features a set of 8 pieces that evoke the beauty, the diversity, and the rugged individualism that is Oregon.

Included on the CD are Postcards for Piano, a collection of musical "snapshots" which preserve perfect moments in time, a rainy afternoon, a visit to a clock shop, a walk on the beach, and even people we might have known.

The Three Encore Pieces for Piano Four Hands ate light-hearted Jazz-inspired pieces that offer an alternative approach to the style often seen in "Classical" four hand pieces.
