While few of us could define "biophony", we can listen to one on Teton Birdscapes, a unique CD produced by James Bigelow of Driggs, Idaho. Consisting of 10 tracks, the CD provides nearly an hour of Mother Natures music. Instead of focusing on individual birds, wide angle stereo microphones are used in the field to capture entire acoustic scenes, or biophonies. Months of fieldwork in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, and the surrounding areas are represented here in long tracks without musical interpretation. Sandhill Cranes, Canada Geese, frogs, even geysers and thermal features, are presented in lush digital stereo . Northern Rockies wetland, sub-alpine , and alpine acoustic splendor captured in the wee hours of the morning . Very relaxing background ambience for massage, yoga, computer users, etc. Cats love this CD!! High quality glass mastered CD in a Jewel Case.
