Jana has been an artist, singer and songwriter since 1976. She started writing songs from her dreams while going to school and majoring in Psychology and Symbolic Processes at Antioch/West. Because of the depth of the symbols, the music is long-lasting in meaning and enjoyment. One doesnt tire of it. Dreams and visions are traditionally a source from which people have received spiritual nourishment and guidance. In many cultures, artwork is also done from dreams. It is music for healing and inspiration. Themes draw from mythology and alchemy from around the world.
These songs all have artwork that goes with them and the art has been exhibited at The Courtyard Gallery at Grace Cathedral as well as many coffeehouses in San Francisco. Jana's favorite thing to do is to have an artexhibit and do a concert in the same place.
