I first met Jim Horn in the studios when I started doing
sessions in Los Angeles. His friendly face and great playing
was something you could always look forward to when working in the studio with Jim. He's still just as much in demand as ever as a top session player and his track record for playing on hits is second to none. I remember his beautiful sax on Neil Sedaka's "Laughter In The Rain", his flute on
Canned Heat's "Goin' Up The Country", and his distinctive
horn parts on the Grammy award winning "Age Of Aquarius" and
'Up Up And Away", as well as Smokey Robinson's "Tears Of A Clown",Frank Sinatra's "Strangers In The Night",Toto's
"Rosanna", and Elton John's "Little Jeanie" He also recorded
with Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Steeley Dan, The Beatles, Tina Turner, the Rolling Stones and many others. He was also featured on the HBO special "Live in
Central Park" with Garth Brooks and Billy Joel. Jim still travels from coast to coast as well as around the world doing live performances and recording sessions. It's been such a pleasure being back in the studio with Jim,
Louie Shelton.
