Ms. Canepa's lush, serene compositions are highly inspired by nature in the hills of the Napa Valley, wine country in northern California where she resides. Recorded by the St. Petersburg string Orchestra, and the Rimsky-Korsakov string quartet of Russia, Ms. Canepa's Italian heritage lends itself to her strong melodic lines throughout her compositions. The peaceful hillsides, and restfullness that abounds in the hills adds an additional dimension of pure sound that vibrates with peace, and serenity of the soul. Ms. Canepa's early years growing up took place in Monterey, CA another inspiration that effecting her during her early years of her life.
Amist the natural beauty of living near the Pacific coast, Carmel-by-the Sea, with its extraordinary artisty, exposure to classical music, and opera, this was the first major creative influence that inspired Ms. Canepa. After living in San Francisco for many years, and composing music influenced by city life, she then moved to the Napa Valley that brought forth a deeper sense of her oneness with nature and the earth. Ms. Canepa's love of the classics of such greats as composers, Brahms, Chopin, Puccini, Grieg, Schumann, and so many others, has truly left a marked impression upon her desire to create contemporary pieces of sensitivity.
