They started making music the minute RadBoy bought his first guitar at the age of 16.
Some afternoon he was sitting in his bedroom writing a new song when Narda, his 4 year younger sister, walked into the room and started singing backing vocals on the chorus. Somesay was born!
It felt natural from day one for them to sing together so they decided to try to write some more tracks and see if there was any opportunity for them to perform somewhere.
That year, Narda's high school organized an evening where students could perform own compositions in front of an audience. They did the audition and passed.
This would be their first live performance and a good way to see how other people would react to their music. On the evening itself they did well and the audience was really positive.
The two had finished writing some tracks when RadBoy's guitar teacher told him to contact local producer and close friend Jake to see if he was interested in producing some of the tracks. RadBoy made an appointment with Jake to play him some material. He really liked it and decided to record a few tracks at his studio. The result was a demo with 3 full produced tracks and from then on it all went pretty fast...
The period that followed Somesay got in touch with different record companies and were offered a few record deals but both still at high school decided to first get their degrees. They kinda went their separate ways from there feeling the time wasn't right yet. Both kept on writing new material. RadBoy finished an international college for Audio Engineering and started building his own studio and set up Roseville Productions with Ruger and Bo. Narda finished high school and started studying psychology at university but still felt the need to be an artist.
The time had come to sit down together and talk about writing new material.
Somesay decided to create an own deep and jazzy pop sound. A more matured version of the sound they created years ago. During the process of writing new Somesay tracks RadBoy and Narda really connected on a higher level as to be heard on “One of a Kindâ€. All tracks of the album were recorded and produced at the Roseville Productions Studio's by Radboy.
For now Somesay live is a strong acoustic duo but who knows the future might bring a full backing band. For gigs check the agenda page on their website: www.somesay.nl
