At seventeen years old, Stephanie Johnson has been playing the harp for eleven years. Her first CD of original music is a collection of eleven songs that have a bohemian, gypsy, classical quality, very fresh and unique, and lovely to listen to.
Stephanie also sings and composes jazz. She listens to Frank Sinatra and other singers from that era. Jazz composer Dave Barduhn created a special award for Stephanie last year, "Excellence in Composition", for her vocal jazz arrangement of "Good Morning Heartache".
Stephanie attended summer school at Berklee School of Music in Boston, and will be starting her senior year of high school in the fall of 2004.
